Performing Musician

As a performing musician, Audun Rørmark is utilized in many different contexts, primarily focusing on performing violin and hardingfele. As a hired musician, he has played on some of Norway's largest stages and festivals with artists and bands such as Ingebjørg Bratland, Stian Carstenen, Elias Akselsen, Daniela Reyes, Tigerstate, Sara Fjeldvær, and Trond Kallevåg, among others. Rørmark is also frequently employed as a violinist in various ensemble configurations and as a studio musician on different fiddles and vocals.

Jazz(ish?)

Jazz(ish) is a branch of “audun” that plays instrumental pieces inspired by various eras in jazz history. The band will release music for the first time in 2024, in conjunction with the album release of “audun.”

Brenneriveien Jazzhus

Audun, along with talented musicians Ola Erlien and Gard Kronborg, runs a monthly concert series where they invite a new guest to perform with them. The concerts take place at BLÅ in Oslo and have already featured well-known artists such as Stian Carstensen and Elias Akselsen.

audun

audun is Audun Rørmark's solo project, where he combines his diverse musical backgrounds in jazz, folk music, and classical music to create a new form of vocal and fiddle-based popular music expression. Rørmark writes and produces the music himself in collaboration with a selection of Norway's foremost young rhythmic musicians. Since its inception in 2021, the project has performed on many of the larger and smaller venues in Norway. In the spring of 2023, audun released its debut EP, and at the end of 2023, they will be recording their debut album, set to be released in 2025 by Fjordgata Records AS.

Døgenick

Døgenick is a new folk music band formed by individuals Audun Rørmark has met during his studies in Trondheim. Together with musicians from various traditional backgrounds, they create music written by Rørmark, blending traditional music with influences from pop, indie, and rock. They will be releasing music at the beginning of the new year in 2025.

Oterholtfestivalen

Oterholtfestivalen is an initiative by Audun, held at his childhood home in Djupskås, Bø. The festival was first held in the summer of 2023 to great success and has become a gathering place for people of all ages with ties to the community. The festival offers a unique experience where the music may be unfamiliar to many, but it is always of the highest quality. Attendees can broaden their musical horizons with performances ranging from traditional hardanger fiddle tunes to jazz and alternative pop

Composition/soloist

Audun Rørmark's composition work is one of the most important aspects of his musical career. He writes music for his own projects as well as for other projects and ensemble configurations, Rørmark is also writing pop songs for other artists. From a young age, he has been utilized as a soloist with various ensembles, including the Telemark Symphony Orchestra, Suoni Music Association, and most recently with Midt Telemark Big Band.

SMTLS

Spelemannslaget Mange Tonar og Låge Skuldre is made up of some of Norway’s finest young fiddle players. They perform new tunes written by Audun Rørmark in a traditional style, but with a fresh approach. The group achieved a strong placement at this summer’s Landskappleik, and their goal is to play new folk music that both honors and challenges tradition

Ugras

UGRAS is a band from Bø in Telemark that blends bluegrass instrumentation with elements of traditional American folk music, country, americana, and Norwegian/Irish folk music. Their style is lively and cheerful, yet it incorporates moments of melancholy. UGRAS focuses on creating unique songs with a varied soundscape.
